School Musical Auditions

Wednesday, February 21, 2024, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Auditions for the Wizard of Oz will be held on February 21 from 2:30- 3:30 for interested students in grades 4- 8. A sign up sheet will be filled out in school.

**All cast members and guardians will be required to sign a Cast Member Policies and Procedures contract after auditions.

**Reminder that behavior in class and during extracurricular activities play a major role in participation in the show.

What to expect:
1. SINGING- prepare a song to sing (by yourself or with a friend) that is either from the show or similar to the songs in the show.
2. ACTING- An excerpt from the script will be provided to you during auditions. Students get 5 minutes to read it over with their group and then perform it for the directors. The script will be read prior in music class so students are familiar with the text.

Show Dates: May 31 & June 1

After the show is cast, we will have practices after school which will be posted on the Parent Square calendar. A parent communication group will also be available for updates and reminders.

*Students interested in stage crew do not have to audition.*
