My name is Amy Evans. I teach STEM at Holy Cross Academy. I earned my BSEd in Early Childhood Education at West Chester University and my MAEd in Administration and Supervision at Georgian Court University.
My certifications include:
NJ State Teacher, Supervisor and Principal
Level 2 Google Educator
PLTW certified instructor - Launch and Gateway
As a STEM teacher, my main goal is to encourage students to think critically and use their knowledge and available tools to solve problems. Students often doubt that they can create solutions on their own, but when they are encouraged to try and then succeed, their self-confidence goes through the roof!
Working in Catholic school has given me the opportunity to help students learn and grow in both knowledge and faith. I am thankful to work in a community that is more than just a school - it feels like an extended family.
